DISCOVER — DECEMBER 6, 2024 | 3110 ART GALLERY, SILVER LAKE

On December 6, 2024, artist Robert E. Hansen debuted “Discover” at 3110 Art Gallery in Silver Lake, an exhibition merging Art, Tech, and Storytelling through fine art and furniture design.

The centerpiece, “The Founders Chest,” was a custom dresser commissioned for the Pan African Film and Arts Festival, featuring portraits of founders Danny Glover, Ja’Net DuBois, and Ayuko Babu. The piece was part of the festival’s “Artists Have a Seat at the Table” initiative, sponsored by IKEA, and was featured on Good Morning LA at the IKEA Burbank showroom.

Other works included “Melted Clock,” a Salvador Dalí inspired table, and a 7-foot door featuring dual portraits, “Italia” (Kobe Bryant) and “Son of Roxie” (Lenny Kravitz). The evening also featured a surprise unveiling for Aisha Hinds, commissioned by Silky Valente, before a live audience of 300.
